Manchester City Schools to Receive $257,732 Stipend

At the November 4, 2024 Manchester City School Board Meeting, the Director of Manchester City Schools (MCS), Dr. Joey Vaughn, stated that the state of Tennessee had notified the district that Manchester City Schools is a “Fast Growth District”.
Fast-Growth Stipends, from the State of Tennessee, focus on student population and needs growth from one year to the next.
As a result of that designation, MCS will receive as fast growth stipend of $257,732. The funds will be distributed in 5 payments of 20% each time. The disbursements will be given in November, January, March, May and July.
